The Dr's and staff were absolutely fantastic! The nurses were extremely supportive and attentive to me during my surgery and subsequent stay. The entire staff went out of their way to make me comfortable during a very difficult time!
What a Blessing to go to the Paola Hospital! My husband and I were traveling when I became very sick. I have a condition called POTS, my Drs. are in Cleveland Ohio. Many Drs. do not understand what POTS is, which makes it scary to go to unknown Drs. but I was so sick we had to go to the hospital. It was no doubt the perfect place. My husband, daughter, and I were more impressed than words can express. The hospital is so welcoming. I believe my nurses name is Christy. A wonderful example of what nurses are suppose to be! Believe me with my health I have seen many nurses and Drs. Dr. Martin Scaletty is certainly a name to remember! My husband, who seldom comments, has said many times since, that he could not believe what an outstanding Dr. he is! He knew about POTS..and anything else. I could tell that although he was no longer in school, he was always seeking more information on how to help his patients. He even called my dr in Cleveland! If he had his own practice he would have people standing in lines to see him. He is the emergency and hospital Dr. so if you need to see the perfect Dr., go to the emergency and make sure you get him.
My wife was prescribed medicine by e.r. doctor that she is allergic to. He blamed nurse for not telling him. Emt told him, my wife told him, and when the nurse gave me the prescription I told her. She said this was without ibuprofen. Pharmacist confirmed the ibuprofen was in medicine. Called corporate they will not talk to me. Played phone tag games. Next step calling the state.
I had a mammogram on Monday and knee replacement on Tuesday. What a great group of people working together for your health. Aftercare is also exceptional. It is a good thing we have this wonderful facility in our small town with quality care. Thank.you all!
I just want to say that mom was treated with so much kindness, unbelievable. She was in the hospital on her birthday. She was so sad about it. The staff surprised her with a cake. It did so much for her state of mind. I just want to say how great everything was. Mom has been in and out of the hospital for seven years and told me this was on of her best stays. I am so thrilled. The care is wonderful, doctors great, and the staff is absolutely great.
